Forecast does indeed look like it may rain. :(
Unfortunately, I won't be making it to the concourse as planned. Running a business takes priority and I just have too much work in the shop to leave...
I'm booked there! Plan on arriving Wednesday Oct 10th for reception, attending the concourse on Thursday and leaving Friday.
I'm thinking vacuum leak. If you have good timing advance and correct jets the most common cause of open throttle hesitation is a vacuum leak.

Prototyping a modification to the venturi/atomiser of a Solex 44PHH. Machined a recess for an o-ring which will ensure a good seal to the carburetor throat and help with keeping it tight as it...
Before and after shot of milling on a pair of Solex 44PHH carbs we currently have in the shop for a full rebuild/restoration. You can see the wear from the secondary throttle plate in the closeup...
Throat was bored about .040" over stock, throttle plate was screwed to an aluminum arbor of the same oversized diameter and turned to that size. Primary barrel was not done but this technique could...

I would tend to agree. While at BL Adams I had the opportunity to see quite a few brake boosters and never saw yellow chromate on any of them. Thanks for the input Henry. :)
I have a question for the community regarding the restoration of the ATE Brake Booster used on the 190SL.
Exhibit A: The Classic Center and ATE have this offering with several parts gold cadmium...
Good to know. I'm going of experience with other Euro cars I've done. :)
Check for a vacuum leak. Not coming back to a low RPM idle is the indicator.
I always default to "how did hey do this at the factory?" Install it after the window is in the top. Use soapy water as a lube and work slow. A rubber mallet is your friend.
Probably because of that shared intake runner.
Haha! It showed up as a "new post" :)
Check your valve clearances. You may be seeing incomplete combustion due to a tight valve.
