    After the Ball

I got a note from Bill Jones that he has an "extended tour" of the Maine coast for us that want to see a few more items while we are in the area. You can check the convention web page to read the full itinerary.

Bill has planned 2 additional days of touring the Maine Coast in
addition to the three for a total of up to 5 days for those interested.
We will tour over to the Acadia area on Friday, the first day, followed
by 2 days touring Acadia and the Schoodic Peninsula, the remote part of
Acadia. We will then tour down the coast visiting Castine on our way to
Camden. A final day of touring will be available in the Camden/Rockport
area visiting the St George Peninsula and Owl's Head Museum of
    Transportation.

    Re: After the Ball

For those that want to do more of Northern New England before the convention/on your way to the convention, I would suggest coming up thru Vermont on the way to New Hampshire. I made this suggestion to Jim Huey and extend it to others looking for additional time in Northern New England. My suggestion is to do Rt 100 up the "backbone" of Vermont. It is a great 190SL kind of road. I would suggest getting on Rt 100 In Wilmington Vt. (I lived there in the late 60's and early 70's), 20 miles west of Brattleboro on Rt 9 and going at least as far North as I 89 on Rt 100 and then work your way east to Jackson including the Kancamangas Highway, Rt 112, in New Hampshire. Anyone looking for more detail feel free to contact me.
