Looking for information about Joseph F. Weckerle, Mercedes Agent in Casablanca

My 1959 190SL was originally shipped to and sold in Casablanca through Joseph Weckerle. I have uncovered some information about him over the years (including the two posts here on the forum - thank you, @aldesso and @AlanJ) and am interested to find out more.

Joseph Weckerle was briefly mentioned again in this 300SL roadster auction last month (https://www.artcurial.com/en/lot-195...4#popin-active) and also a few years back when Bonhams purported to have the 190SL that Weckerle drove in the 1956 Casablanca Grand Prix (https://www.bonhams.com/auctions/227...?category=list). I believe that there was some doubt cast that it was in fact the same 190SL in the end... These mentions always spark a renewed fervor and interest

Are there any club members that have more information about the man and his dealership? Photos and even a location would be fascinating to see.

    Charles,
You may have come across this link already. It is in French but you can run it through an on-line translating tool if needed.

It doesn't answer your question but it does give a little more info the man.

    Alan,

Thanks! I had not found that thread. Some interesting new pieces to the puzzle.

    Closer and closer...

    Thank you for sharing
