A "Super Senior Division" for old players - ones that use wooden racquets & white tennis balls.

Paul - I know your tennis pro on the Island - she said she knew you as well. We attended Tennis University together a few years back & received our Professional certification in the same class. She arrive in Hilton Head on the back of a Harley.

    tennis

I am addicted to tennis...I play 6 days a week in the nice months, and 3-4 days now. Mainly doubles.

I am in all Pro Match that weekend of Feb 7-10. I am the only non-pro that qualified.

The only match I lost last summer was against the Luke and Murphy Jenson inn the finals at Farm Neck. You must know them.

Who is the chick on the back of the Harley...

I only know two from here...

Maybe a girl named Grace or Karla?

Hopefully it wasn't my ex wife?

That is why they say I have the fastest hands in tennis-- anyone has seen. She use to throw pots and pans at me, and I never got hit once.

    Karla

    I know karla to well.

She is a great gal. She bought a home in Sante Fe, but then fell in love with a guy in DC, where she is today. A very good friend.

She falls in love at least 3 or more times a year.

I just asked her if I could use her empty home in Sante Fe, while she stays in love in DC!

Quick correction: I misunderstood and the hotel rate does not include free breakfast. The cost is $7 for continental breakfast at the hotel and $9 for full breakfast. What we will do as an alternative is provide bagels, donuts, fruit, coffee and juice at the shop Sat and Sun mornings.

Also, for those members who made reservations at the hotel AFTER the cut off...you will need to email me your NAME and CONFIRMATION NUMBER and I will be able to get you the group rate.

Wow, if my count is right, 45 people from 21 states plus Canada. It does not look like Wisconsin in February has scared off too many people. I'm looking forward to seeing you all there in a couple of weeks. It should be a good weekend.

Looks like a great group...about 1/2 members who attend conventions and 1/2 members who haven't or don't usually. Looking forward to a great time.

Maps will be provided in the course curriculum folder and also be available at the hotel. For those who may be arriving late and not make it to the shop before dinner on Fri., 7 P.M., here are the maps in PDF form for printing. The 4 places of importance are noted. The first map shows all four, the subsequent maps zoom in giving greater street detail. Travel times are 5-8 minutes.

That means less than an inch. But, that's the beginning of the week, WT08, as of now is calling for snow showers on a warm up. Streets would most likely will be wet and salty. We got 6 or so inches last night.

I'm looking forward to the snow. Raised in Colorado and now in the wet Pacific Northwest. It will be a welcomed site for me.

    Question

    John,

Reference the evening dinners, what is appropriate attire for these events? Is jeans OK? Or is business casual more appropriate? Forgive me, but after 30 years dealing with the Army, I had to ask...
