    Seeking divine intervention

because that's what it will take to get my car ready on time.

    i've got no chrome.

    engine doesn't run.

my new soft top is but a dream.

my replacement leather is still munching clover somewhere.

    brakes are not bleeding.

rocker panel seals are on back order.

    still haven't found a trailer.

the antiqueautobattery.com lady just laughed at me ("your show is WHEN?").

a complete tools kit is just out of reach.

    decals are elusive.

i've given up on the thought of correct dot-ology.

and wife just found my repair/parts invoices.

please buy me a drink if/when i get there.

Since the price of gold has now dropped below the average price of each replacement part for the 190SL, I would recommend a trip to the jewelry store!!!

    Not for lack of effort

Well, shop guys and I have been burning the midnight oil for several days now and it's starting to show. Unfortunately, we now have to bring 'er to the convention (a 6.5 hour drive, i'm guessing) and she won't be done. I think we're all resigned to the fact that we just don't have time to install the soft top. I'm seriously bummed out, given the amount of effort that has been put into it thus far, but it is what it is and we'll bring the Mint Wonder in great shape with a naked soft top frame.

I look forward to meeting you all tomorrow night.

    Kev,
We're ready for you! You'll lose about 5 pt's for the missing top, but gain 90 pts for the effort! Where are you coming from?
Just left the Classic Center event, went really well, heading back to hotel for the evening reception.
