Who Won Awards at the Concours?

Real life stepped in and I was unable to make to yesterday's Concours and dinner. Congratulations to all Awardees! Which owners and cars received awards? Best, Frank

From a participant's point of view, it was rather grueling; close to 20 judges spent over 4 hours on 8 cars. 90 minutes on my engine bay alone. Then there was the 48 hours wait before the winners were announced.

Thanks to all the volunteers who put in the work.

A big thank you to Brad and Pam for a wonderful convention. It was my first with the 190SL Group but won't be my last. I would also like to thank the judges for all the hard work for putting up with the rain and criticism they took. If it wasn't for David Hay convincing me to enter my car into the concourse judging, I wouldn't have won the Founder's award. You can even see him in one of the pictures drying off my car. Also would like to thank Don Drabik and Tom Hanson who came to my aid when I broke down about a mile from the convention center. Also David from Bud's who sent me overnight parts and also took time to trailer me to a parking lot where I repaired the car so I could enjoy those beautiful drives that Brad arranged for all of us.

I was thankful and pleased to win a Silver Award with 493.5 points second only to Dirks's car. Not bad for a car that hasn't been in a trailer since 2007.
Thanks to Dave Polny for such a great restoration that still holds up well in judging 5 years later.
It even made the trip up the top of Carter's Mountain. (I really didn't plan on going up the mountain but, once there there were no turn around's). It was a beautiful view on top of the mountain.
