Re: 190SL Scope Waveforms - anyone?

I'm running with a 123, not so not standard coil; my ignition wires are multi-filament, plugs are BP6ES. The car has been running fine like this for years. I'ts only in the past year or so it began...

    Re: Steering box

There are def differences: I destroyed a seal (11) I received by AutoHaus trying to fit it. Now, their site lists an early and late one.
Oddly, Parts manual "D" lists 3, but they are simply...

Re: 190SL Scope Waveforms - anyone?

Well, finally got some time and it's not freezing - although still cold.

I'm on a 123Ignition; my scope leads are connected to vehicle ground and '-' on the coil via attenuator.

    I started...

  9. Re: DAG213 for leaky throttle bodies on Solex Carbs?

Hey now, this DAG stuff sounds interesting. They do sell it in smaller quantities, $30/30ml at https://www.laddresearch.com/chemicals/dag-213

Re: 190SL Scope Waveforms - anyone?

I sure hope to finally give my scope a try this weekend. I'm really amazed what all can be checked, even compression (comparison only), battery charging, etc. etc.

Anyway, a few good videos on...

Re: 190SL Scope Waveforms - anyone?

Thanks for your advice; I'm running the 123. Ran fine until about a year ago, then the stumbling got progressively worse. I've done a lot, trying to narrow down the problem including re-installing...

    Re: 190 sl radio

Hey Keith; curious what you mean with 'control boards'.
There were a number of radios available; from factory only Becker to my knowledge. Many, like my own, were installed by the dealer and...

    Hi all;

does anyone have scope waveforms from the 190SL primary and secondary circuits they can share? Thinking we can build a bit of a library; different engines, ignitions, plugs, well/poor...

    Re: Windshield replacement

About those water leaks: John Lewenauer wrote an excellent article on the subject in the Jan/Feb 2014 newsletter; title: 'Pillar Talk'.
  18. Re: Light bulb on steering column lock assembly?

I had to laugh: look at all that space available to work ... in a drawing.
  19. Re: Sweden prepares to switch from RHD to LHD - 1960s

I remember reading there was much confusion at changeover, understandably so. The planning must have been surreal and quite impressive.
  20. Re: Light bulb on steering column lock assembly?

Completed 3D printing some time during the night.

I'm doing this on a $300 printer, not some industrial unit.
  21. Re: Light bulb on steering column lock assembly?

Thanks Ben; Fritz does some pretty neat stuff, lot's of great info on Solis. I wonder whether he sells just the tumbler "blanks".
  22. Re: Light bulb on steering column lock assembly?

CAD work completed on final piece; I left two of the openings in the original blanked since they don't do anything for 190sl's other than let in dust.

Print started, says it will take 8 hours!
  23. Re: Light bulb on steering column lock assembly?

My spare lock is missing the cover over the switch. Here's a prototype 3D Print.

When I'm done, I'll post the link, in case anyone else needs one. I haven't seen these for sale anywhere.
  24. Re: Light bulb on steering column lock assembly?

Ooooo, lucky guy! Here's a a photo someone posted a while back, looks like they're pretty small.
  25. Re: Light bulb on steering column lock assembly?

Thanks Alan; that's what my guy is hoping to be able to do.
