    I did not even think about, as I only had a bare block to start with and I used as much as I could from the original engine.

    We went from the stock 8.5:1 to a 9.5 to 1........wanted to run on 93 octane pump gas

    I have never used a sequence, but as a rule, I always tightened from the middle out to each end......and did the same sequence once the manifolds were up to temperature.

    You could have an off-set key way installed in the cam gear...........If you head was milled and the tolerance was too close an off set key way is used......Pull off the cam gear and inspect the key...

    Oil temp gauge is key, but you should drop your oil pan and have a threaded bung welded in so you can add the sending unit and get a reading from the bottom of the pan, or make an adapter to thread...
