Re: Paint codes and door plate

Keith .... I can not find anything in my documentation for DB586. A Goggle search on "Mercedes 586" shows that the color is real but not when it was used by MB.

    Re: Glove box lock out

Try a locksmith. They are very good at opening locks without keys. If you can drive the car to the locksmith's shop, it will be much cheaper than trying to replace the lock.
  4. Re: Support Bracket for Windscreen Tension Rod ?

Alan .... Part number 14 attaches to the window frame and holds the front seal to the cowling. It goes under the mirror base and does not attach to the tension wire.

Re: New Store Item - Weber Adapter Plate

Rex .... I apologize for your plates missing the bolts. The alen bolts are "button head" which gives them a short head and the kit comes with "beeville" lock washers which are small and interesting.
  7. Re: Light bulb on steering column lock assembly?

I would noty install a bulb as it will be almost impossible to change the bulb if it burns out.

Re: New Store Item - Weber Adapter Plate

Rex .... The adapter plate comes with all of the "hardware" (bolts, nuts and washers) but no gaskets. It works well without gaskets as the pressure differential is very low.

Paul .... The Mercedes Classic Magazine is an excellent read. The XEntry Portal also works well.

Thank you very much for your initiative in making these items available to the membership.

    Re: Camshaft 921 928

Rex .... There is a number engraved on the rear end of the shaft. I believe that a "14" is the early cam and "15" is the later cam. See page M3a2 of the Supplement manual.
