    Glass and Rubber

Am I correct in thinking I should get all my rubber needs from Mercedes classic in California? Can anyone suggest where to get glass for doors and windshield? I am missing a door glass, should I replace both door glass regardless so they are similar. What about the windshield, only replace if needed or replace while it is apart?
    thanks

    Frank,

I got perfectly good (excellent) rubber from various vendors who support this group when I put in a new windshield, and also for my hardtop, when I restored it; and also for the trunk rubber, which looked good, but was old. All these rubber parts looked like they came from the same source as you'd get from MB, but they were in stock and generally cost a lot less.

I also got a new windshield from a supporting vendor, for a fraction of the MB price, and apparently comes from the same (only) factory which makes these. (My old one had a small delamination at the bottom, not pretty in a car like this.)

At the time mine was restored, I bought the windshield from MB Classic at slightly ($100?) over repro if I recall. The difference is my MB windshield has the MB logo in the corner. Not sure how much of a difference that makes and I haven't a clue what the price difference is.
