Post caravan
Hi All
And WOW!!!!!
What can one say about a life time experiance?
We are blessed to own these cars and as the cars are very special so are the owners. Tons of info, new friends, a great time.
If any one of you are ever crusing Hwy #1 around Morro Bay.
You are always welcome in my home.
Happy Motoring !!!
Ray David
Mean while:
2 hours into the 9 hour drive home, on the empty farm land of Hwy # 99. My alternator quit. I smelled a slight electric smell but I thought it was the smell of agribusiness.
The radio stopped I thought it might be a fuse. The horn stopped
but the car kept running. I stopped to get gas and couldn't get it started, no buzz or crank at. Got a jump and ran the car for 6 hours. It died in Bakerfield bought a new battery and charged the old one and ran on battery power for the remaining 4 hour drive home. (Thanks Gary Cox) Measuring battery loss the car used 1 amp per hour at 70 mph.
Great fun!!!!

Ray,
I think that might qualify you for the " Wogoman" award next year! I think I sucked a rubber carb gasket around Santa Barbara, but was able to limp home without incident.
What a party! Great time, great people and oh yeah, there were just a few 190SL's there (48?)
Too much fun. Again, kudos to Joe and Johannes!
(Ray, BTW, I understand you're quite the "lounge" singer, piano bar? details???... maybe the next American Idol)
